Return Window: 7 days from delivery for wrong, expired, or damaged products. Refunds processed within 7–14 days.
At Root Botanie, your trust and satisfaction are our top priorities. If something isn't right with your order, we’ll do everything we can to make it right. Below is our detailed policy for returns, refunds, cancellations, and exchanges.
1. What Qualifies for Return, Replacement, or Refund?
You may raise a return or replacement request within 7 days of delivery if:

You received a wrong product.

You received an expired product.

The product arrived physically damaged or packaging was tampered.

Items were missing from the delivered package.
For damaged or missing products, the complaint must be raised within 2 days of delivery.
2. How to Raise a Return or Replacement Request?

When contacting us, please provide your order number, clear photos of the product and packaging, and a brief explanation of the issue.
3. Return/Replacement Process
Step 1: Review by Our Team

We’ll verify your request within 2 working days.

We may contact you for additional information, images, or clarification.
Step 2: Pickup of Product

If approved, we will schedule a reverse pickup via our courier partner.
Step 3: Self-Shipping (Where Pickup is Unavailable)

If courier pickup is unavailable in your area:

You’ll need to self-ship the product using a reliable courier.

We will share our return address.

Share the tracking ID with us.

Upon verification, we will reimburse your shipping cost via PayTM, UPI, or wallet transfer (against a valid courier receipt).

Step 4: Quality Inspection

All returned items undergo a quality check at our warehouse.
Step 5: Replacement or Refund

If the returned product passes inspection:

A replacement will be dispatched (subject to stock availability), or
-
A refund will be initiated to your original payment method or preferred refund channel.

4. Conditions for Returns & Replacements
Eligible Return Reasons:

Wrong product delivered

Expired product delivered
-
Damaged packaging or leaked product
-
Missing products from the package
Returns Not Accepted If:

The product has been opened, used, or tampered with.

Original packaging, labels, or mono cartons are missing.

The return request is raised after 7 days of delivery.

Damage/missing item issues are reported after 2 days of delivery.

The product was bought under Sale, Clearance, or Promotional Offers, unless it is defective.
5. Order Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your order yourself before it is marked as "Ready to Ship" from your My Account > Order Details section:

Click Cancel

Select a Reason for Cancellation

Confirm cancellation
Important Notes:

Once the order status changes to "Ready to Ship", cancellation is no longer possible.

Root Botanie reserves the right to cancel orders without prior notice in cases like:

Product unavailability
-
Incorrect or incomplete customer information

Verification failures
-
Suspected fraudulent transactions

6. Refund Policy
For Prepaid Orders:

Refund will be processed to your original payment source (bank account, UPI, credit/debit card) within 7 business days after approval.
For Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders:

You will need to provide your bank account or UPI details.

Refund will be processed within 7 business days after successful verification.
Refund Timelines:

Cancelled Orders: Refund initiated within 7 business days of cancellation.

Returned Products: Refund processed after the product is received and passes quality inspection (up to 14 days from return pickup date).
You will receive email/SMS updates at every stage of your refund process.
7. Partial Returns & Refunds (For Combo or Multi-Item Orders)

Yes, partial returns are allowed for eligible items.

Each returned item will be evaluated individually.

For combo packs, proportional refund value (based on individual product MRP) will apply.
8. Privacy Note (DPDP Act Compliance)
For Cash on Delivery refunds and self-shipping reimbursements, your banking or UPI details will be collected only for the purpose of processing your refund and will not be stored or used for any other purpose, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9. Jurisdiction & Governing Law
All disputes related to returns, cancellations, or refunds shall be governed by Indian Law and fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
